WakeSharp vs Alarmy
Both are alarm clocks for heavy sleepers that ask you to do something before the morning counts. They make different trade-offs. This page is written by WakeSharp, so it is worth reading with that in mind: every Alarmy fact below comes from Alarmy’s own App Store listing or website, and where those are silent, the table says so instead of guessing.

Choose Alarmy if…
- You want to start without paying. Alarmy is free to download and its own site says most features work without premium; the trade is advertising in the app.
- You want sleep and snore tracking. Alarmy includes a sleep tracker that records snoring. WakeSharp does no sleep tracking at all, on purpose.
- You want a physical mission. Alarmy’s squats and shaking are the kind of movement WakeSharp does not ask for.
- You want what millions already use. Its App Store rating comes from a quarter of a million people. WakeSharp is new.
Choose WakeSharp if…
- You want no ads in your face at 6am. WakeSharp shows none.
- You want to know tonight whether it will ring. The alarm reliability check reads the settings that actually stop alarms and leads with a verdict: it will ring, it may not, or it cannot.
- Your wake time depends on your calendar. Smart alarms can move when your first meeting moves, with the calendar read on the phone.
- You want a mission that needs your brain, not just your legs. Arithmetic, memory and word puzzles, a photo of a spot you chose, steps or daylight at a window, or an answer said out loud, several in a row if you like.
- You want to see how sharp you actually woke up. An optional two-minute warm-up scores you against your own baseline, not against strangers.
What neither of them can do
No alarm app can ring on a phone that is switched off or out of battery, and none can promise you will get up. Your phone’s own controls always work, which is how it should be. For a morning you truly cannot miss, set a second alarm on a separate device, whichever app you choose.
